Guys, we’re in love. So deeply in love with a cheesecake that is. We recently discovered Cheese Garden and their lovely cheesecakes and we’re definitely smitten. Cheese Garden brings traditional Japanese cheesecake to Toronto and Torontonians are loving it!
What’s the difference between a Japanese cheesecake and a NY cheesecake? Well, for starters Japanese cheesecake is crust-less. It also uses less cream cheese and a lot of whipped egg white resulting in a spongy, fluffy, melt in your mouth cheesecake. Have we convinced you yet? Well, if not then here’s some photos guaranteed to whet your appetite:
yuzu pistachio double fromage cheesecake
This beautiful and dainty cheesecake is made up of three layers. The first layer is a crunchy base of sugar-coated roasted pistachios. The second layer is a pistachio sponge cake with pistachio cheesecake. Last, but definitely not the least, is the top layer of yuzu mascarpone cheesecake. The combination of pistachio and yuzu flavours is just divine. The nutty flavour from the pistachios pair well with the bright and slight tang from the yuzu. The texture of this cheesecake is so luxuriously creamy, it’s not hard to eat the entire cheesecake by yourself.
double fromage cheesecake
This classic cheesecake is definitely for cheese lovers. It’s made up of layers of mascarpone, cream cheese and cheese sponge cake. Don’t be fooled by its simple appearance. This cheesecake is delightfully creamy, perfect with your afternoon tea or as an after dinner dessert.
uji matcha tiramisu
If you’re not into sharing, this one is for you. This tiramisu comes in individual servings. This matcha tiramisu is made of the traditional lady fingers, matcha cream layer and topped with matcha powder. If you like matcha, this tiramisu is definitely for you!
Cheese Garden of course carries traditional Japanese cheesecake as well as freshly baked cheese tarts, matcha double fromage cheesecake, white peach tiramisu and shiroi valentine souffle cheesecake. They also serve drinks like blended strawberry cheesecake and iced matcha latte.
Cheese Garden has three locations in the GTA and for a limited time, they are offering their special anniversary cheesecake (yuzu pistachio double fromage cheesecake) until November 4, 2018.
